RESCHEDULING YOUR CURRENT DATE TO 2022

(for contracts signed prior to may 2019)

PER CLIENT REQUEST…

If the client wishes to move their contracted wedding date to next year (2022), the current contract becomes null-and-void with a non-refundable deposit.  Given the positive updates from the government and local venues/vendors, and that many of Laura Ink’s 2021 weddings are still scheduled as planned, all weddings rescheduled to 2022 as of January 1, 2021 will be subject to the up-to-date pricing menu, which you can find online at laurainkphotography.com under the “Investment Portfolio.”  There are no other rescheduling fees, and all monies previously paid towards the final balance will be transferred towards the new balance.  A new contract will be drawn up with the new details to be signed to secure the date; the current deposit will be applied to the new date, so the deposit fee on the Investment Portfolio will be considered “waived.”

Why Update Couples Rescheduling to 2022 To New Rates?

That is a wonderful question, and one that is going to require I share a bit about how this small business works year in and year out.  As a full-time photographer, there is a limited number of weekends per year to make all of our income.  Our small business depends on booking these dates to sustain ourselves for the year and continue to grow as a small business, and at this point in my career, it is fairly guaranteed to be booked those weekends with new bookings at the current packages.  There is a limited number of weddings per year/month/weekend taken so I can serve my clients best and run the business at its maximum potential while servicing clients in the same personalized way I always have (and always will).  For each date that moves to a peak 2022 date, I am turning down a new booking and a large percentage of 2022 incomes.  Additionally, by pushing back wedding dates, I am also bearing the increased administrative costs (insurance, software, memberships, professional dues, office expenses, etc.) which is calculated into the pricing based on the number of weddings accepted each year.  The cost of doing business increases yearly and is reflected in the year’s most current rates.

If you do have to reschedule, Laura Ink wants you to know that we understand this stinks we do not want to add any more stress, especially financially, to your plates.  We are doing our best to be accommodating and flexible, while still maintaining a balance and fairness for ourselves to sustain the business and its growth (trust me, we are really mad at Coronavirus too).  If you are moving to an off-peak date (January-April or November-December 2022), there is a bit more flexibility so please reach out directly.

PER FEDERAL/STATE MANDATE(S)…

If federal or state directives arise that would prohibit any of our weddings from taking place altogether, Laura Ink is committed to working with our couples to reschedule to new mutually agreeable dates.  We are asking our clients to keep us promptly and efficiently up to date for rescheduling and work with us so we can efficiently move details, contracts, and monies paid to a new date.  It is extremely important our couples stay in upfront communication!  New wedding dates are not guaranteed and are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
